Adam SovkoplasCo-Founder Adam Sovkoplas has a Doctorate in Music Composition from the University of Kentucky. He is an award-winning composer whose music has been performed on five continents. While at the University of Kentucky, Adam studied playwriting with playwright and screenwriter Herman Daniel Farrell III. Since arriving in Kentucky in 2006, Adam has acted with, built or designed sets for, or written shows for The REP Theatre, AthensWest, Studio Players, Bluegrass Community & Technical College, Tates Creek High School, Eastern Kentucky University Opera Workshop, Leeds Theatre, East Jessamine High School, Bluegrass Mystery Theatre, Woodford Theatre, Dunbar High School, Kentucky Conservatory Theatre, the Creative Art League Theater of Jessamine County, and the School for the Creative and Performing Arts. He has also worked at the Ohio Renaissance Festival, as a squire at the Kentucky Renaissance Faire, and spent three years working as a mascot for the Lexington Legends Baseball Team. Adam is excited to be focusing his talent and experience on Adventure Theatre, where he and his wife, Lindsey, are realizing their dream: to share their passion for theater with the people of Central Kentucky and beyond!

Lindsey Carlstedt SovkoplasCo-Founder Lindsey Carlstedt Sovkoplas graduated from Northern Kentucky University with a BA in Theatre. She grew up in Wilmore, Kentucky and spent her high school years at West Jessamine High School, playing roles such as M’Lynn Eatenton in Steel Magnolias, the Wicked Witch of the West in The Wizard of Oz, and Marty in Grease. Lindsey also had the privilege of performing in The Marvelous Wonderettes (Cindy Lou Huffington) and Clue: The Musical (Mrs. Peacock) at Carriage House Studio Players, Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella (ensemble) at Covedale Center for the Performing Arts, The Music Man (Pickalittle Lady) on the Showboat Majestic, and Hairspray (Velma Von Tussle) and Mamma Mia! (Donna) at Leeds Center for the Arts. She has directed Arsenic and Old Lace, Lost in Yonkers, Legally Blonde: The Musical, Top Girls, The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, The Pajama Game, Play On!, Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella, Confession: Kafka in High School, The Addams Family Musical, Frankenstein, A Christmas Carol, and To Kill a Mockingbird. Lindsey is thrilled to be on this ADVENTURE with Co-Founder and husband, Adam Sovkoplas!
